How to play
Season format, scoring flow, and strategy
Rollick Fantasy League is a private, invite-only IPL fantasy league. This page explains the complete format we use so new members can understand how the season works before joining.
1) Season setup
- Each league starts with a draft before the IPL season begins.
- Every owner builds a roster of players; those players remain tied to that owner for the season unless the league agrees a transfer window.
- There are currently two leagues (Rollick OG and Rollick 2.0) that share one scoring engine but have separate rosters.
2) Match-day scoring
After each IPL match, player performances are logged and converted into fantasy points. Batting, bowling, and fielding all contribute, and the Player of the Match receives a bonus.
- Batting: runs, boundaries, sixes, milestones, strike-rate impact.
- Bowling: wickets, dot balls, maidens, economy-rate impact.
- Fielding: catches, stumpings, and run-outs.
- Full points table: /scoring-rules.
3) Leaderboard updates
A player's points are added to the owner who drafted them. The app then recalculates league standings, team totals, and player rankings so the table reflects current form across the season.
4) What wins the league
The winner is the owner with the highest total fantasy points at the end of the season. There are no monetary prizes, betting, or wagering in the platform — standings are for competitive fun and bragging rights.
5) Strategy tips for new members
- Draft for role balance: top-order batters, death bowlers, and reliable all-rounders usually produce steadier points.
- Don't chase one explosive innings; consistent dot-ball bowlers and fielders often decide close weeks.
- Follow playing XI news. Even strong players score zero if they are not in the match-day squad.
