How it works
One auction night, a whole tournament of bragging rights
CricketGem runs private fantasy cricket leagues for groups of friends, colleagues or family. You build your squad once, at the start of the tournament, and every player you own scores for you in every match they play. There's no team to change before each match and no spreadsheet to update.
1) Create a league and invite your friends
- Sign up, pick a tournament and give your league a name.
- You get a private invite link. Share it on WhatsApp or anywhere your group chats.
- Friends open the link, sign up and type the name they want on the leaderboard. Their team is created for them.
2) Fill your squads
Choose how your group picks players when you create the league:
- Live auction(the main event). Every team gets the same purse. Players come up one at a time and everyone bids live. When the timer runs out, the highest bidder wins the player. Plan an "auction night" and do it together on a call.
- Snake draft. Teams take turns picking players, and the order reverses each round. No money and no clock, so it suits busy groups.
- Manual. The organiser types in each team's squad, for groups that already ran their auction elsewhere.

3) Every match scores automatically
After each match, CricketGem reads the scorecard and turns every player's performance into fantasy points. Batting, bowling and fielding all count, and the Player of the Match gets a bonus.
- Batting: runs, boundaries, sixes, milestones, strike rate.
- Bowling: wickets, dot balls, maidens, economy rate.
- Fielding: catches, stumpings and run-outs.
- Full points table: Scoring rules.
4) Watch the table move
Your league page shows the leaderboard, each team's squad and what they paid, a momentum chart, match-by-match points and stats such as the best bargains and the priciest flops. Everyone in the league sees the same numbers, and every point can be traced back to a match.
5) What wins
The team with the most points at the end of the tournament wins. There's no real money, betting or prizes on CricketGem. It's all bragging rights.
Auction tips
- Players who play every match score the most over a tournament, so reliable regulars are worth more than one-off match-winners.
- All-rounders score with bat and ball, so they often pay back their price.
- Keep money back for later sets. Bargains often come late, when other purses are empty.
- In tournaments with knockouts, players from teams that go deep play more matches and score more.
